Education

I attended Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. I pursued a B.A. in K-12 Spanish Education. During my time at Elizabethtown College, I started an on-campus community Spanish program, Sing and Speak Spanish, where children in the surrounding town attended a one night a week class taught by myself and other students.

During my Junior year of college I studied and lived in Barcelona, Spain. I attended the University of Barcelona, through the Bridge Connect Act study abroad program. Along with attending my classes, I completed a work study program at a local school. I taught at Pineda, an all girls school in a small town outside of Barcelona. I worked with them 3 days a week on their English.

Upon returning to the US for my senior year, I began to work on my Senior research project. I had been collecting  data on the success of the students in our community Spanish program. While working on this project, I had submitted the proposal to the Annual Conference for Teachers of Foreign Language. They accepted my proposal, and I was asked to present at their annual conference that was in Denver, CO.

Bio

Hola Padres y Estudiantes,

It is a pleasure to be teaching at Southampton Schools #2, and #3. During the course of the year your sons and daughters will be covering a wide range of material from Spanish greetings, school supplies, numbers, colors, basic conversation, culture, and so much more. My hope is to make this class as engaging as posible and spark some of of them to become world travlers.

For the past two years I have enjoyed coaching the Delran High School Girls and Boys tennis teams. It’s a second passion of mine as I am an avid player, having competed for many years. I also coach for and am an active board member for the Burlington County Tennis Association as well as the United States Tennis Association.

When I am not out on a tennis court, I enjoy taking trips up to New York City to see the lastest Broadway hit, into Philly for a nice concert at the Kimmel Center, or to Mann Center for a good old country concert.
